About Cool Car Drawing

Here you will find some basic information about me to know me better and what I do!

Everything happens for a reason!

My name is Arturs and I come from Latvia, Riga.

Saying in title his is one of the phrases that I've been saying since high school and I live and stand by it every day!

I grew up in small town and as far as I can remember I always loved technical things, art related stuff and building something. Nothing in my life was related to cars or similar things but for some reason as soon as I started drawing I preferred to draw specifically cars and less of other things.

Later in life I stopped drawing at all because of the work and other interests but the spark was always there in me to draw but it never realised.

2021 set the turning point in my every day life. Sprained ankle and life at that moment made me realise that I want to do more of something I like. I saw that sign and acted- went to art supply shop, bought some cheap markers and pencils and started again. I had rediscovered my love for automotive art, dusted off my sketch pad and pencils, and reimmersed myself into my passion and I could not be happier! I went to create my Instagram account- @coolcardrawing and upload my first drawings. Nothing then prepared me for what would come later...

Whole purpose of Instagram account was to share my passion with everyone and it's still is till this day. At first i was very sceptical about all idea because I thought who would even watch my posts. But as I posted more I understood that people enjoy my art and are interested in this hobby. Later out of nowhere it was first made sale to Australia. This sale made the ball to roll further...

To be fair I truly believe that my sprained ankle in way was a well needed push to start all of this and that's why I stand by this saying!

From drawing table to exhibitions

In 2022 I made decision that I want to do more with my art than share it to my Instagram followers.

It all started with table, chair and my artworks in first live art exhibition. It was JDM LV car meet in Riga and I was super nervous about it and how people will react to all of it because it was something new for me and for car culture here in Baltic. Sheer amount of amazing feedback and good words made me fell in love with this and I started to search for more car events in Latvia.

Till this day I have been to many events in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland and of course I plan to attend more car events in other countries! Some of the memorable events I've been to is Fitted Fest in Finland, AUTO 23 Exhibition in Riga, GP Drift Master 22 in Riga, American Beauty Show 23 in Estonia and many many more...

These events helped me to create new friends, contacts and see peoples passion for cars and my art! It still brings me huge smile to hear from visitors that they like my. art and encourage me to do it more!

From markers to pixels and more

I create unique automotive drawings, digital car illustrations and designs, specialising in various types of vehicles and custom made orders for every car owner worldwide. In addition, everything from drawing or posters and drawing materials I use (markers, pens, pencils) to the packaging that the artwork is shipped in, is high quality, made with precision and attention to every detail. Realistic approach and different techniques are combined with good quality materials to make sure that every commissioned artwork or design that leaves my drawing table is a beautiful masterpiece!

Almost 3 years later my original and digital art has been shipped to many parts of the world- Japan, USA, New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii and all over Europe with 100% costumer satisfaction rate!

I would describe myself as a perfectionist and I am extremely technical and detail-oriented. I try to reproduce every line and shape of the car on the paper, so I can fill the car with colours, highlights and shadows. The complex shapes of cars create some very interesting reflections and shadows, which is what I enjoy when I’m drawing a car. With every stroke, the drawing starts to look more realistic and comes to life on the page.

But my journey is not stopping there- recently I've made my first keychain lineup, stickers and many more things to materialise my drawings in something more. My acquired skills in digital programs like Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop allowed me to make more things that people enjoy all around the world! More of that you can see in my Instagram profile!
